When I search for a wine in my cellar, and then "drink" it, I have to select that it came from my cellar. The default choice is "non-cellar bottle". This is backwards--if I am selecting the bottle from my cellar in the first place, the default should be from my cellar.

When the barcode scan returns nothing but the label description gets a positive result, sometimes there is one detail that is off, like the year. I'd like to be able to associate the barcode with the description but it's not 100% accurate. If I could change a detail to an otherwise exact description, then the database would reflect the proper data and my OCD would be assuaged.

You should add the ability to create a list of wines that you've had and index them based on your own ratings. That way, when you are looking for a wine you've tried in the past, you can select one based on your own opinions. You could add a "star" icon to the bottle to be listed among your favourites - outside of your cellar, recently consumed, and wishlist.

Smetimes I can find the "right" wine that I'm looking for, but the vintage I have isn't listed...for instance, I may have a 2007 bottle, but my only options might be 2006, 2009-2011 and NV...it would be nice to be able to input the correct vintage to accurately capture my cellar

CellarTracker, the wine database we use, doesn’t allow the creation of new wines from mobile applications. At this time, a new vintage of a wine is considered to be a new wine, and new wines must be entered directly on the CellarTracker website.

We do expect to be able to add a new vintage of an existing wine in the near future, but addition of new wineries or new wines from an existing winery isn’t going to be possible without a policy change from CellarTracker. We will let them know of user interest and update here if there is any change to their policy.

We do show any industry ratings that CellarTracker has available, including premium ratings from a a bunch of sources that you can subscribe to (at additional cost). See http://www.cellartracker.com/getcontent.asp to set this up.

We can’t unilaterally add Wine Spectator or other ratings without their permission, but if they are added to CellarTracker in the future, they will automatically appear in Cor.kz.

Cor.kz won't be able to update the label in CellarTracker (not allowed by CT) but it would be possible for you to upload and change labels. You would only see these labels in Cor.kz NOT CellarTracker.

We don't think it would be a solution that you would like. If you still think it would be userful, please say so in the comments. Otherwise, we'll decline this feature request, unfortunately.

Kudos for defaulting 'Drank From' to 'My Cellar'. Now to complete the functionalit for me would be to allow me to consume the bottle I just scanned with cellartracker Barcode. After I consume a bottle I like to scan it and mark it as drunk. Problem is it seems to just drink any random bottle in my inventory, even though I scanned a specific bottle number in my cellartracker. If I have multiple bottles in different locations it makes it hard to keep track of them.

Current software version doesn't recognize barcodes on printed out labels. From reading other comments I think it may have worked in a previous version but stopped after some update. I see how to change settings to allow you to select a specific bottle, but it would be much nicer to just scan the specific bottle.

Like the title says - i tried the app which seems to have an updated barcode scanner tech. I tried several labels on my wines and it was unable to recognize any of them. The last version(s) were working great. Why it no worked now?
